Jett BSE Signature Series .25, .30 and .35
These engines are, in a word, amazing! From the very first engine they even exceeded my own expectations.
The BSE-25 and BSE-30 were first introduced to the public at the Toledo trade show 2001, and were first delivered in early June 2001. The engines have undergone unprecidented bench testing, precise design refinements and many hours of field testing to ensure the best possible design with a balance between incredible power and unmatched reliablility. Well guess what? After all was said and done, you get both AMAZING power and incredible reliability!
In flight tests, the .30s turn the 9x 6 APC between 18000 and 18300 rpm peak, while the .25s are only slightly behind that turning at 17,200 rpm. Even when tight they idle reliably at 2400 to 2600. Performance will be better after break-in.
Below is a letter received from one of the first BSE .30 customers. It pretty much says it all.Dub,
My hat is off to you!! You exceeded all of my expectations with your new 30 ABC and AAC bar stock engines. From design to execution this is one of the finest engines I have ever seen, and I have seen plenty in my 35 years of modeling. The front end of the engine case is one of the beefiest I have ever seen and I have already gotten a chance to see how tough it is. My FW TA 152 went straight in from 100 ft wide open. All I had to do is clean up the engine, straighten the high-speed needle valve, and it was ready to go.
Performance wise, no one who has seen me run this engine can believe it is a 30. The engine now has 80 flights on it and it just keeps getting stronger. It will turn the 9-6 APC prop at 18,500 rpm on 15% nitro S&W fuel, and a McCoy MC-55 glow plug, a 9-5 APC at 19,200 rpm, and an astounding 17,900 on an APC 10-4 prop. The throttle response is instantaneous and it is not only a great choice for R/C Combat and Fun Fly type airplanes, but also anywhere you need the power of a 40 engine in a 30-size package. A future project will be to put one of these screaming demons in a Diamond Dust variant to push 200 mph. I will keep you posted.
You have set new standards by which all other engines will be measured by, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
Lewis Schwab
