Welcome To The Delta Speed Page
These hot delta wing speed ships are some of the fastest sport airplanes out there.
The Diamond Dust and Whiplash are most popular, with a few others out there.
Powered with anything from a SJ-46 to a roaring FIRE-60LX,
these things REALLY can move!

Gene Greatti "The 60L turning a 10X8 at 16,000 static rpm generates tremendous thrust, a lot more than I expected .... I know what 200 mph looks like and I know what 150 mph looks like. I would say I was hitting at least 175+ today. " |

Vo Decker

Philippe Bourgeois Visible paint is necessary with these speeds. Green on top, pink on the bottom. "We made some precise speed measurement of this whiplash(extreme version) with the jett 50 turning a 8.75*9 prop. We made them with two diferent method, a hig quality speed gun and an acoustic method (dopler shift analysis who also showed me the inflight rpm of the jett 50) . The top speed I reached was 197 MPH ground speed during a zero wind day" |
|
Steven Falor The blue flames make it look fast just Note the fuel tank cover and clean Thanks for the photos Steven ! |
|
James Gibson "The Jett was a "start & go" setup and was maintenance free" Flys with an APC 9x8 prop |

Gene Greatti
Gene has fitted his beautiful Diamond Dust
with a longer tuned pipe and a higher pitched prop. This combination turns lower RPM and provides quieter operation
while keeping excellent performance. |
|
Rick Broussard "...we have done over 200 MPH unofficially with the Jett 50 BSE on almost every flight" Hard to beat that I guess !! ACM does not produce the Whiplash at this time.
However, here is the company website |
Below are a few photos which folks sent to me, but for
