Welcome To The Delta Speed Page
These hot delta wing speed ships are some of the fastest sport airplanes out there.
The Diamond Dust and Whiplash are most popular, with a few others out there.
Powered with anything from a SJ-46 to a roaring FIRE-60LX,
these things REALLY can move!

Beautiful color scheme.
Ya have to just love flames.

The FIRE-50 and the Diamond Dust is simply
and outstanding combination

Gene Greatti
Abington, PA

BSE FIRE-60L powered Whiplash

"The 60L turning a 10X8 at 16,000 static rpm generates tremendous thrust, a lot more than I expected .... I know what 200 mph looks like and I know what 150 mph looks like. I would say I was hitting at least 175+ today. "

Vo Decker
Wellsville, NY

BSE FIRE-50X Powered Whiplash

Outstanding Can-Am finsh on this one.

"Nothing like a BSE FIRE 50 running and APC 8.8x8.5 pylon prop :) !! Fastest plane in the club so far!! ...
...That BSE FIRE 50 rocks! I look forward to getting another Jett engine soon!

SJ-50 Powered Diamond Dusts

Mike enjoys the DD quite a bit. After the demise of the first one (top) he quickly replaced it with a new Dust.

These two are setup with side exhaust SJ-50 engines. Uses a standard APC 9x8 prop - performance is great !

Be sure to visitt his web site.
Includes some nice flight videos

Carl Engel
Clear Lake, WI

SJ-46 powered Diamond Dust

"I flew the Diamond Dust for the first time today, and wow! I'd never seen a Jett at home, only read about them online, and I sure am impressed! I
used a 10x6 for initial flights to keep speed to limited to blisteringlyfast instead of insanely fast. I think this Diamond Dust is going to have even more punch than my 1st one that had a MVVS GRRT 40 FAI engine on it."

Matt Fulks
Tinker AFB, OK

Mel Yanda
Enterprise, AL

FIRE-60LX powered Diamond Dust

"I am using a stock APC 8.8x9 propeller and the engine turns in excess of 19,500 rpm static .... I don’t have any idea what the top speed of the airplane is but it seems like it would go out of sight in 2 or 3 seconds if you didn’t make a turn."

Craig Koerner
Crest Hill, IL

Jett FIRE 50 powered Whiplash

Similar to Craig's Diamond Dust shown above, this speedster features a fabulous checks and flames finish.

"Here is a picture of my Jett FIRE .50 powered Whiplash. I broke the motor in the other day. I couldn't believe the power it put out."

Dave Norman
Andover, MN

Dave is a top notch pylon pilot, and known for his green and while color schemes.

His Whiplash carried the Norman colors as well.

BSE FIRE-50X powered Whiplash

Visible paint is necessary with these speeds. Green on top, pink on the bottom.

"We made some precise speed measurement of this whiplash(extreme version) with the jett 50 turning a 8.75*9 prop. We made them with two diferent method, a hig quality speed gun and an acoustic method (dopler shift analysis who also showed me the inflight rpm of the jett 50) . The top speed I reached was 197 MPH ground speed during a zero wind day"

Gene Greatti
Abington, PA

Jett FIRE-50 powered Diamond Dust

Gene has fitted his beautiful Diamond Dust with a longer tuned pipe and a higher pitched prop. This combination turns lower RPM and provides quieter operation while keeping excellent performance.

"It's fun to see all the shaking heads and hear all the hootin' and hollerin' after I land, especially after asking who wants to fly it next. Guys always volunteer their buddies who promptly throw up their hands and answer something like 'fly it, hell I'm still lookin' for it!'."

Rick Broussard
Broussard, LA

FIRE-50X powered ACM Whiplash

"...we have done over 200 MPH unofficially with the Jett 50 BSE on almost every flight"

Hard to beat that I guess !!

ACM does not produce the Whiplash at this time. However, here is the company website
