"The plane came out at 11 lbs.It has spring air retracts and robart struts.

The motor fired up first spin, and after the first tank it was idling perfect. It is spinning an 11-7 at 15,700.

I lowered it down to 14,700 for the first flight and wow. The plane flew great,it was a real windy here today and it handled it ok. The take off was good as was the landing."

SJ-90L powered Vmar MIG-21 ARF

"I received the Jett .90 you sent me and I've
finally got it in my airplane, the Vmar MiG 21. The plane weighs 10.5 pounds and it has unlimited vertical with the Jett .90. The engine started right up and wanted to get to work.

I've added Robart mechanical retracts to the plane and it's pretty freakin fast. Not as fast as my pylon racer but fast enough to get guys at the field to land whenever the mighty MiG takes off!

No problems with the Jett .90! It rocks!
Thanks for a great engine!"

SJ-90L powered Cermark F-16 ARF

"I really love the way the F-16 flys - like it's on a rail.

It's quite fast with the Jett 90L yet lands nice and slow , especially with about 20% flaperons.

I use spoilerons after landing as brakes.

The Cermark HD gear and super wheels work perfectly too."

Alan Baskin
Colorado Springs, CO

Jett BSE-90L powered
Great Planes F-14 Tomcat

Outstanding aircraft!

"The engine I ordered was the 90 signature BSE put in a Great Planes F-14 Tomcat. My first trip to our flying field here in Colorado Springs proved to be an absolute success.

I had plenty of complements and questions even before I had the chance to get it off the ground. Everyone was impressed with not only the plane but the engine.

By the time I was ready for my first flight I'd drawn quite a croud. But the moment of truth was an exciting experience. I took off without incidence and it flew beautifully. The power was excellent especially for the altitude here in Colorado and the added weight of the flaps, retracts, and sequencing doors.

The flight was a sight of beauty. The speed was certainly what I was looking for and the engine hadn't even been leaned out yet. To end a happy first flight was a perfect flared main wheel touchdown on centerline. Beautiful!"

Sport-Jett 50 powered Great Planes F-15

"The plane flies very well on this engine, even though it's a rock.
The gentleman who built this kit glassed the fuselage and empennage, and thats a lot of glass.
Then it got a PPG paintjob, thin, but still not monocote weight...
I don't have a radar readout on this bird,
but the common agreement at the field is in excess of 100MPH.
I have tried to fly this plane with other engines. They can't even get it airborne on our grass field"

OS91FX powered GP F-14
with added Jett-Stream tuned muffler

This is an excellent example of adding performance to an already good engine using the Jett-Stream performance muffler.

"I actually purchased this F14 from last year's WRAM show. I changed the old engine for an OS .91FX engine and purchased your Jett muffler. I actually saw an increase of 900 rpm. I use a 11x10 prop . This plane was clocked at 118mph over the summer. I love your muffler."

Now thats what we like to hear!

TURBO-JETT mufflers on two OS91's

Norm was kind enough to provide us with this photo of his
OUTSTANDING ME-262
"..the engines are really humming, running between 11.5 and 11.8k with a good idle and broad needle. The prototype of this aircraft flew very well on two OS 91's, with your mufflers. The OS's turned a master airscrew 13/8 cut to 12/8 three blade at 11,500 rpm. I broke them in on a 82 in. ME-163 and they turned a solid 11,500 RPM"

Bob Holmes

SJ-90L Powered Patriot
Bob sent us some great shots of his Great Planes Patriot. The aircraft took some bit of modification and attention to detail with the CG to utilize the 90L in the smaller .40 size Patriot.

The plane has been clocked at over 190mph with speed gun by the Coles County Sheriffs Deptartment.

The prop up front is a reworked APC 11x12 which Bob cut down to 9.75X12. Static on the ground is 16,100 rpm.

Below are a few Ducted Fan applications.
Although Jett no longer produces the Fan-Jett engines, these are some outstanding
examples of ducted fan aircraff, and a few charter members of our Hall of Fame

Joe Lewis
Niles, Ohio

Jet Hanger Hobbies F-86 Saber
The FAN JETT 50 drives a Turbax 1 turning an honest 23,000 RPM using A Macs 8.5 pipe, MC 9 glow plug and 10 % Wild Cat fan fuel. The plane has about 40 flights on it and 25 of those are with the FJ50. Joe reports he is on only his second glow plug with about 12 flights and it is still working well.
"I would recommend the FAN JETT .50 to any one building a .45 size ducted fan jet".
